Past Projects

Service Cost Optimization Project

DI departments are constantly looking for opportunities to improve patient accessibility while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Service opportunities have not been considered in the past to the same degree that higher end modalities have been considered (i.e. MR/CT); however, we believe that a comprehensive review can provide a list of opportunities to improve both patient accessibility and DI department financial performance. Our goal to our members who would like to enrol in this opportunity is to develop recommendations to improve patient accessibility while maintaining the department fiscal responsibility. The recommendations will be developed through a robust fact-based analysis and financial modelling of the DI operating model.

Diagnostic Imaging Repository Project (LHINs 3 and 4)

Digital diagnostic imaging is a core component of an electronic health record (EHR). Funded in part by Canada Health Infoway and eHealth Ontario, the Mohawk Medbuy Corporation Shared Services DI-r Project is contributing to Canada's vision of an EHR for every resident - when and where it matters the most. The DI-r has been designed to integrate with the country-wide EHR system currently under development. See testimonials from DI-r users.

DI Common Services Project

The Common Services Project is designed to unite Ontario's four regional repositories, NEODIN, SWODIN, HDIRS and GTA West. Developing interoperability standard between repositories will allow greater intra-regional access to patient digital information.

Ontario DI Terminology Project

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation has been asked to lead the development of a DI Terminology Reference set for Ontario. Once complete the reference set will act as an intermediary between local procedural terminology and the international SNOMED CT standard. This project is key to enabling common services and interoperability between the DI repositories in Ontario.

ClinicalConnectâ„¢ to DI-r Integration Project

ClinicalConnectâ„¢ is a secure portal that provides physicians and clinicians with real-time access to their patients' electronic health records. Integration with the DI-r will allow physicians the ability to access patient diagnostic information from locations outside of hospital networks.
